    Overview

    The role involves working as a Staff Data Engineer at Webflow, a platform that enhances web marketing for organizations. The position is focused on leading key initiatives in Data Platform Engineering, including data lake management and data quality.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Design data solutions across batch, streaming, and real-time workloads.
    • Build reliable data pipelines using Spark, Kafka, Iceberg, and Airflow/MWAA.
    • Contribute to data lake evolution, focusing on ingestion, processing, storage, and serving patterns.
    • Maintain and scale cloud data infrastructure, ensuring reliability and observability.
    • Implement data quality, observability, reliability, and governance across systems.
    • Define standards for event instrumentation and governance.
    • Build solutions for centralized PII handling, data retention, and compliance with GDPR and CCPA.
    • Mentor engineers and collaborate on complex technical initiatives.

    Requirements

    • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience.
    • 5+ years in data engineering, with experience in production data pipelines.
    • Strong proficiency in Spark and distributed data processing.
    • Experience with technologies like Kafka and Spark Structured Streaming.
    • Knowledge of cloud data infrastructure and CI/CD.
    • Strong programming and SQL skills.
