    Overview

    The role of Staff Product Manager, Developer Experience at Fivetran involves shaping the experience of data practitioners interacting with dbt Cloud, including the Studio IDE, Developer Agent, Cloud CLI, and dbt VS Code Extension. This position focuses on advancing developer tools in alignment with AI-assisted development.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Own the developer experience roadmap across Studio IDE, Developer Agent, Cloud CLI, and VS Code Extension.
    • Collaborate with the Fusion team to align on capabilities and ensure developer needs are represented.
    • Lead product development for Developer Agent aimed at enhancing AI coding assistant functionalities.
    • Drive IDE and tooling strategy by analyzing modern development environments.
    • Execute cross-functional collaboration to deliver high-quality developer experiences.
    • Gather and incorporate feedback from the dbt community and enterprise customers to improve tools.
    • Conduct market research to understand the competitive landscape for developer tooling.
    • Align developer experience goals with broader company objectives.

    Requirements

    • 5+ years of product management experience, focusing on developer tools or IDEs.
    • Experience in managing IDE or developer environment products.
    • Familiarity with AI-powered development tools and a strong technical foundation.
    • Experience in conducting user research to inform product development.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Comfort working asynchronously in a distributed team.
