Staff Product Manager, Developer Experience @Fivetran

Overview

Fivetran, along with dbt Labs, is focused on helping organizations unlock the full value of their data through innovative products and infrastructure. The Staff Product Manager for Developer Experience will shape the developer workflow in dbt Cloud, enhancing the user experience across various tools including Studio IDE, Developer Agent, Cloud CLI, and the dbt VS Code Extension.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the developer experience roadmap across Studio IDE, Developer Agent, Cloud CLI, and the VS Code Extension.
• Partner with the Fusion team to align on capabilities and define the relationship between platform and product.
• Lead AI-native product development for Developer Agent, focusing on user-friendly coding experiences.
• Drive IDE and tooling strategy based on modern development environments.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, design, and GTM teams.
• Build feedback loops with the dbt community and enterprise customers to improve developer tools.
• Conduct market research on developer tooling and AI-assisted development.
• Align developer experience investments to company goals and product strategy.

Requirements

• 5+ years of product management experience in developer tools or technical platforms.
• Experience managing IDE or developer environment products.
• Engagement with AI-powered development tools and strong opinions about their impact on development.
• Strong technical foundation to communicate effectively with engineering teams.
• Experience in user research and translating feedback into product work.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfort working asynchronously within a distributed team.

Location
