Overview

Grafana Labs is seeking a Staff Product Manager for OpenTelemetry, a fully remote position available for candidates based in Canada. This role focuses on developing a cohesive journey for users to benefit from OpenTelemetry data within Grafana Cloud.

Key Responsibilities

• Define the vision, strategy, and cross-product roadmap for the OpenTelemetry journey.
• Create user-friendly experiences across SDK instrumentation, automatic instrumentation, and Collector-based deployment.
• Identify and resolve common setup and configuration issues.
• Utilize customer research and data to prioritize investments and measure outcomes.
• Collaborate with various teams to ensure a smooth transition from telemetry ingestion to activation.
• Represent Grafana Labs in OpenTelemetry ecosystem discussions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Product Management with a focus on developer tools or other B2B products.
• Strong knowledge of OpenTelemetry and experience in developing instrumentation systems.
• Ability to lead strategy across multiple engineering teams.
• Excellent communication skills for influencing stakeholders in a remote environment.
• Experience in simplifying complex workflows for better user experiences.
