Staff Product Manager, OpenTelemetry | Ireland | Remote @Grafana Labs

Overview

Grafana Labs is seeking a Staff Product Manager for OpenTelemetry, a fully remote role available to candidates in Ireland. The successful candidate will develop vision and strategy for products related to OpenTelemetry data integration with Grafana Cloud.

Key Responsibilities

• Define the vision, strategy, and cross-product roadmap for telemetry from uninstrumented workloads to useful data in Grafana Cloud.
• Create user experiences that guide users in implementing SDK instrumentation, automatic instrumentation, and Collector-based deployments.
• Identify and address causes of setup failure, misconfiguration, and low-quality telemetry.
• Establish shared experience principles and success criteria among product and engineering teams.
• Use customer research and product data to drive decisions and measure outcomes.
• Partner with solution teams to ensure an integrated transition from telemetry ingestion to product activation.
• Collaborate with diverse teams to communicate a differentiated OpenTelemetry experience.
• Engage in the OpenTelemetry ecosystem as needed while focusing on customer outcomes in Grafana Cloud.

Requirements

• 5+ years of Product Management experience, particularly in developer tools or complex B2B products.
• Strong understanding of OpenTelemetry and related infrastructure.
• Ability to lead strategy and execution across multiple engineering teams.
• Experience with complex onboarding and troubleshooting workflows.
• Excellent communication skills for influencing both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
