Staff Product Manager, OpenTelemetry | Spain | Remote @Grafana Labs

Overview

Grafana Labs is seeking a Staff Product Manager for OpenTelemetry to develop strategies and oversee the end-to-end journey for users working with OpenTelemetry data in Grafana Cloud. This fully remote role is open to candidates based in Spain.

Key Responsibilities

• Define vision, strategy, and cross-product roadmap for the journey from uninstrumented workloads to healthy telemetry.
• Create user-friendly experiences for SDK instrumentation, automatic instrumentation, and Collector-based deployments.
• Identify and address common setup failures and telemetry quality issues.
• Leverage customer research and product data to inform product decisions and measure success.
• Collaborate with various teams to ensure a cohesive user experience and effective product positioning.
• Engage with the OpenTelemetry ecosystem and represent Grafana Labs' interests.

Requirements

• 5+ years of Product Management experience in developer tools or observationally complex B2B products.
• Strong understanding of OpenTelemetry, including SDK instrumentation and telemetry context.
• Experience with instrumentation systems, agents, and telemetry collectors.
• Knowledge of operational challenges across Kubernetes, virtual machines, and public cloud environments.
• Proficient in using customer insights and data to drive decision-making.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for remote collaboration.
