Staff Software Engineer - Databases SRE | Ireland | Remote @Grafana Labs

Key Responsibilities

• Partner closely with product engineering squads.
• Own production reliability for high-SLA customer environments.
• Design and implement automation to improve reliability practices.
• Define and evolve per-tenant SLOs and reliability models.
• Lead customer-impacting incident responses and post-incident reviews.
• Improve alert quality and reduce escalations.
• Contribute to design documentation and code reviews.
• Build automation to eliminate toil and ensure scalability.

Requirements

• 8+ years engineering experience, with 4+ in SRE/CRE/production engineering.
• Strong experience with Kubernetes in AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Technical leadership experience and ability to mentor.
• Experience operating multi-tenant systems in production.
• Strong experience designing and implementing SLOs.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Go, Python, Java).
• Knowledge of Linux internals and experience with networking and cloud storage.
• Ability to engage in blame-free incident response and write high-quality post-incident reviews.
