Overview

This consultancy opportunity offers Indian nationals the chance to work as a State Project Coordinator under the INSPIRE Programme, aimed at improving disaster preparedness and climate resilience across Odisha.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate the rollout of PRI training programmes
• Support implementation across districts and blocks in Odisha
• Assist in the design and development of training curricula and schedules
• Facilitate participant mobilization and logistics
• Support stakeholder consultations, workshops, and peer-learning activities
• Monitor programme progress and prepare reports
• Document lessons learned and knowledge products
• Support Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) activities

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Disaster Management, Social Sciences, Rural Development, or related fields
• Minimum seven years of relevant professional experience
• Prior experience with government institutions in Odisha
• Working knowledge of the Odia language
• Strong coordination, communication, and documentation skills
• Ability to manage large-scale field programmes

Benefits

The consultant will receive travel allowances, accommodation support, and daily subsistence allowances when undertaking missions outside the duty station.

Location

This position is based in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, with travel required to districts and partner institutions.
