Overview

The United Nations Capital Development Fund (UNCDF) is looking for talented interns to join its Strategic Funds Unit (SFU) as Strategic Engagement Interns.

Key Responsibilities

Support coordination of strategic engagement activities to achieve resource mobilization targets.
Conduct background research on UN institutional processes.
Assist in mapping and analyzing multilateral negotiation processes related to ocean governance.
Track stakeholder meetings and maintain contact lists.
Support preparation of donor briefings and technical briefs.
Contribute to planning missions and events.
Conduct desk research on global finance mechanisms.
Prepare summaries and maintain activity trackers for ongoing initiatives.

Requirements

Currently enrolled in or recently completed a postgraduate degree or final year of a bachelor’s program in relevant fields (International Law, Economics, Policy, etc.).
Fluency in English; knowledge of other UN languages is an advantage.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong planning and organizational skills.
Proactive problem-solving mindset.
Ability to work in multicultural environments.
