Overview
The United Nations Capital Development Fund (UNCDF) is looking for talented interns to join its Strategic Funds Unit (SFU) as Strategic Engagement Interns.
Key Responsibilities
- Support coordination of strategic engagement activities to achieve resource mobilization targets.
- Conduct background research on UN institutional processes.
- Assist in mapping and analyzing multilateral negotiation processes related to ocean governance.
- Track stakeholder meetings and maintain contact lists.
- Support preparation of donor briefings and technical briefs.
- Contribute to planning missions and events.
- Conduct desk research on global finance mechanisms.
- Prepare summaries and maintain activity trackers for ongoing initiatives.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in or recently completed a postgraduate degree or final year of a bachelor’s program in relevant fields (International Law, Economics, Policy, etc.).
- Fluency in English; knowledge of other UN languages is an advantage.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
- Proactive problem-solving mindset.
- Ability to work in multicultural environments.
