Overview
The British Council is seeking a Video Call Speaking Supervisor to support the delivery of internationally recognised examinations, specifically the International English Language Testing System (IELTS).
Key Responsibilities
- Schedule and allocate speaking tests to Global Hub Examiners.
- Coordinate with multiple test centres across different time zones.
- Share speaking results with test centres in a timely manner.
- Serve as the escalation point for examiners and test centres.
- Troubleshoot operational or technical issues during live sessions.
- Perform system-related “super user” tasks to resolve problems.
- Support the implementation of new operational processes.
- Organise training and assessments for examiners.
- Monitor service delivery to ensure compliance with quality standards and KPIs.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency.
- Maintain effective working relationships with internal teams.
- Provide timely, professional responses to operational queries.
- Collaborate with global support teams to ensure consistent service delivery.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
- 1–3 years of experience in a busy operational or customer service environment.
- Experience maintaining compliance with risk and security standards.
- Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
- Analytical thinking and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
- Planning and prioritisation abilities.
- Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- Proactive mindset, ability to work independently, and support team members effectively.
- Must have the legal right to work in India.
