    Overview

    The Alaska Chapter of The Nature Conservancy is hiring a Development Operations Specialist to support their fundraising team. This role is operationally critical in managing development systems, data, and processes to enhance donor experiences and support conservation goals.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Manage core development functions including revenue management, prospect and portfolio systems, reporting, gift processing, and stewardship.
    • Maintain data integrity and ensure consistent use of development systems.
    • Implement and document standards, processes, and tools to optimize fundraising operations.
    • Translate strategic priorities into operational plans, systems, and workflows.
    • Provide insights, recommendations, and training for staff on systems, data, and workflows.
    • Contribute to cross-functional project teams for fundraising initiatives.
    • Manage projects, coordinate contributors, and ensure accountability.
    • Ensure compliance with TNC policies, donor agreements, legal, and IRS requirements.
    • Support team priorities, events, and donor engagement.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of relevant experience (or equivalent).
    • Experience generating reports, analyzing data, and providing actionable insights.
    • Strong coordination skills and experience working across departments.
    • Familiarity with current technology relevant to development operations.
    • Excellent communication skills, adaptable problem-solving, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Desired: Multi-lingual and cross-cultural experience, experience implementing complex processes, knowledge of database management and industry trends, strong organizational skills, attention to detail, understanding of basic accounting practices.

    Benefits

    • Annual base salary range: $78,000 – $83,000 (USA-based candidates)
