Overview

The Alaska Chapter of The Nature Conservancy is hiring a Development Operations Specialist to support their fundraising team. This role is operationally critical in managing development systems, data, and processes to enhance donor experiences and support conservation goals.

Key Responsibilities

Manage core development functions including revenue management, prospect and portfolio systems, reporting, gift processing, and stewardship.
Maintain data integrity and ensure consistent use of development systems.
Implement and document standards, processes, and tools to optimize fundraising operations.
Translate strategic priorities into operational plans, systems, and workflows.
Provide insights, recommendations, and training for staff on systems, data, and workflows.
Contribute to cross-functional project teams for fundraising initiatives.
Manage projects, coordinate contributors, and ensure accountability.
Ensure compliance with TNC policies, donor agreements, legal, and IRS requirements.
Support team priorities, events, and donor engagement.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of relevant experience (or equivalent).
Experience generating reports, analyzing data, and providing actionable insights.
Strong coordination skills and experience working across departments.
Familiarity with current technology relevant to development operations.
Excellent communication skills, adaptable problem-solving, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Desired: Multi-lingual and cross-cultural experience, experience implementing complex processes, knowledge of database management and industry trends, strong organizational skills, attention to detail, understanding of basic accounting practices.

Benefits

Annual base salary range: $78,000 – $83,000 (USA-based candidates)
