Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth research to support parliamentary functions
- Anticipate and respond to research needs of stakeholders
- Design and manage research projects with clear objectives
- Collect, verify, and interpret data from credible sources
- Develop conceptual frameworks for research reports and papers
- Participate in committee business planning processes
- Attend committee meetings and provide expert research input
- Identify emerging sector issues to inform legislative priorities
- Support planning and execution of committee programmes
- Provide research support for oversight visits and study tours
- Prepare briefing documents for parliamentary engagements
- Support participation in international parliamentary forums
- Contribute to sectoral parliament initiatives and projects
- Monitor policy and legislative developments within the sector
- Identify gaps in existing policies for future research
- Engage with stakeholders, including civil society organisations
- Continuously enhance subject-matter expertise through training and research
- Produce monthly reports in line with organisational standards
- Ensure quality control of research outputs
- Disseminate research findings to relevant stakeholders
- Present recommendations based on evidence and policy frameworks
