Organization Overview:

Elela-Care Humanitarian and Development Organization (ECM) is a youth-led non-governmental organization registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC/IT No: 182167). Established in 2022, ECM focuses on improving the quality of life of vulnerable populations across communities in North East Nigeria. The organization operates in both emergency and development contexts, addressing gaps that increase vulnerability through strategic program implementation.

Project Summary:

ECM is implementing a nutrition intervention project in Kaga LGA, Borno State, funded by the Nigeria Humanitarian Fund through FRAD Foundation. The project aims to improve access to life-saving nutrition services through Community-Based Management of Acute Malnutrition (CMAM), including Outpatient Therapeutic Programme (OTP), treatment of Moderate Acute Malnutrition using the Tom Brown approach, Infant and Young Child Feeding (IYCF), and strengthened referral systems for complicated cases.

Role Overview:

Project Manager (Nutrition):

Serve as the overall lead for the nutrition programme.
Provide technical, operational, and administrative oversight for all project activities.
Lead implementation of emergency nutrition programming, including CMAM and OTP services for children with Severe Acute Malnutrition (SAM).
Ensure effective screening, admission, treatment, follow-up, and discharge of beneficiaries.
Facilitate timely referral of complicated SAM cases to Stabilization Centres.

Requirements and Competencies:

Previous NGO experience, especially in mobilization across interventions such as CBT, WASH, and Nutrition
Strong commitment to ECM’s mission, values, and policies
Relevant technical experience in nutrition programming and project management
