    Husk Power Systems is one of the world’s leading rural energy providers, delivering low-cost, reliable electricity to rural households and businesses using 100% renewable energy sources. The company specializes in designing, building, and operating hybrid power systems (solar and biomass) across India and Africa.

    To date, Husk has electrified over 15,000 homes and businesses, reducing approximately 95,000 tonnes of CO₂ emissions. The company aims to expand its impact by providing 30MW of power to 225,000 customers and reducing 350,000 tonnes of CO₂ annually.

    Role Overview:
    Husk Power Systems is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Area Sales Manager to expand its minigrid business footprint across Nigeria and sub-Saharan Africa. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving revenue growth, managing sales operations, and overseeing financial performance within assigned territories.

    This role offers an opportunity to contribute to solving Nigeria’s energy access challenges while working in a fast-paced and impact-driven environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Sales & Business Growth:

    • Develop and execute strategic sales plans for hybrid minigrid solutions
    • Identify new markets and revenue opportunities
    • Monitor and manage sales pipeline, forecasting, and target achievement
    • Conduct market research and segmentation to support business expansion

    Operations & Strategy:

    • Establish best practices across sales operations
    • Collaborate with other business units to align strategies and performance goals
    • Support continuous improvement in operational efficiency

    Stakeholder Management:

    • Build and maintain relationships with regulatory bodies, customers, and partners
    • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure effective implementation of business plans

    Team Leadership:

    • Manage, mentor, and motivate sales teams
    • Foster a high-performance and collaborative work culture

    Reporting & Analysis:

    • Provide regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and forecasts
    • Support budgeting and financial planning processes

    Requirements:

    Essential:

    • Minimum of 7 years’ sales experience, including 2–4 years in a similar role within the energy sector
    • Degree in Sales, Business Management, Marketing, or a related field
    • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
    • Proven experience in rural sales (B2C & B2B)
    • Excellent relationship management and communication skills
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and project management software

    Desirable:

    • Postgraduate qualification in Business or related field
    • In-depth knowledge of Nigeria’s power sector
