Overview
Global Rights is seeking a qualified candidate to join its team in Abuja to support program activities focused on civic space strengthening and women’s rights and gender equity initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide operational and technical support to the programs team for effective coordination and delivery of project activities.
- Support initiatives under the Rape Is a Crime campaign.
- Assist with capacity building and advocacy projects.
- Provide technical support to partner organizations.
- Assist in the orientation, supervision and coordination of partner NGOs.
- Prepare activity reports and updates for management.
- Support the design and facilitation of trainings for local organizations and communities.
- Contribute to research, writing and editing of program-related publications.
- Provide content for social media and other external communication platforms.
- Support relationship management with partners, donors and the media.
- Assist in administering and monitoring sub-grant programs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
- At least 2 years of experience working with human rights organizations.
- Strong communication and report writing skills.
- Sound project management ability.
- Good understanding of gender, civic space strengthening, development and human rights issues in Nigeria.
- Detail-oriented, capable of multitasking, and able to work both independently and collaboratively.
