Overview

The African Fine Coffees Association (AFCA) is seeking a Program Officer to remotely coordinate the EUDR Learning Community for Africa. This role supports the implementation of the European Union Deforestation Regulation across African coffee-producing countries.

Key Responsibilities

Lead operational coordination, stakeholder engagement, and knowledge management for the Learning Community.
Organize virtual and in-person meetings.
Coordinate governance processes.
Facilitate stakeholder engagement across countries.
Develop knowledge products (briefs, case studies).
Maintain communication with members.
Manage a digital repository of resources.
Prepare progress reports for partners and donors.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, environmental science, sustainability, international development, economics, or a related field.
At least five years of professional experience in programme coordination, multi-stakeholder facilitation, or regional programme management.
Experience in African agricultural systems, sustainability initiatives, or deforestation-free supply chains is highly desirable.
Fluency in both English and French is required.

Benefits

The contract duration is twelve months and may be renewed based on performance and project needs.
