Overview
The Vice President, People & Culture will lead and evolve the Human Resources function for C3 Industries, which operates in the cannabis sector across multiple states. This strategic role involves partnering with executive leadership while managing HR operations to support growth in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and update C3 Industries’ HR strategies and policies in response to labor market trends.
- Enhance HR process efficiency through standardization and automation.
- Lead workforce planning and labor cost forecasting aligned with financial targets.
- Build and maintain executive-level workforce dashboards.
- Oversee HRIS strategy, system automation, and data governance.
- Negotiate and manage the company-wide benefits strategy.
- Provide strategic leadership in union engagement and collective bargaining.
- Ensure multi-state compliance and consistent policy enforcement.
- Design and govern compensation strategies aligned with business needs.
- Build structured talent acquisition pipelines and succession planning.
- Manage the Human Resources budget.
- Build and coach a high-performing HR leadership team.
- Champion culture and organizational effectiveness across sites.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field; advanced degree or certification preferred.
- PHR, SPHR or other HR certification preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive HR experience with 5+ years in senior leadership.
- Experience in a multi-state retail environment preferred.
- Demonstrated experience with union negotiations and labor strategy.
- Strong financial acumen with the ability to align HR strategy with operational goals.
- Deep knowledge of employment law and compliance best practices.
- Strong executive presence for effective partnership at senior levels.
- Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to travel as needed and pass applicable background checks.
