Overview
The Voluntary Carbon Markets Integrity Initiative (VCMI) is hiring a Programme Associate to support the Coalition to Grow Carbon Markets. This remote-first role focuses on providing analytical and project management support for effective planning, decision-making, engagement, and reporting within the coalition.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather and interpret qualitative and quantitative data for strategic planning.
- Maintain analytical trackers for key performance indicators, policy developments, and market trends.
- Map policies and market developments, identifying opportunities and risks.
- Develop scenarios and support decision-making with evidence-based insights.
- Prepare engagement materials for countries and partners.
- Support stakeholder management using systems like Monday.com.
- Assist in preparing materials and providing logistical support for high-level meetings.
- Manage action logs, decision trackers, and schedules for effective governance.
- Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, and take minutes.
- Ensure all organizational documents, reports, and records are organized and accessible.
- Draft briefing notes and background papers for high-level engagements.
Requirements
- Proven experience in project or programme management, preferably in policy, climate, or consultancy sectors.
- Strong analytical skills with experience working with datasets, trackers, and dashboards.
- Proficiency with spreadsheets and analytical tools.
- Excellent written communication skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Strong time management and prioritization skills.
- Experience in international or multi-stakeholder environments is advantageous.

Benefits
Salary: Circa £40,000 GBP (benchmarked to the UK, adjusted for location and experience)
Contract: Fixed-term until December 2026, with potential for extension.
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
Location
Remote-first (preferred locations: London, Paris, Nairobi; flexible working hours, within +/- 3 hours GMT)
