Overview
The Watsan Supervisor role at Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) involves supporting the Watsan Manager in implementing and supervising water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) activities to improve health and living conditions for target populations.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with MSF protocols on water supply, sanitation, vector control, and waste management.
- Supervise WATSAN stock inventory to ensure uninterrupted availability.
- Manage and supervise Watsan and logistics staff.
- Participate in coordination meetings.
- Conduct outreach and assessment activities.
- Prepare Situation Reports (SitReps) and assessment reports.
- Plan and facilitate Watsan and logistics training sessions.
- Support emergency preparedness stock management.
- Assist in market assessments for emergency items.
- Provide technical support for infrastructure maintenance.
- Monitor logistics orders and supply chain processes.
- Support inventory, procurement, and equipment management.
Requirements
- Education: Technical Diploma (Essential), Specialization in Water & Sanitation (Desirable).
- Experience: Experience in technical works and managing multiple activities; experience with MSF or similar organizations is an advantage.
- Languages: English (Essential), Hausa (Desirable).
- Competencies: Behavioural Flexibility, Stress Management, Results & Quality Orientation, Teamwork & Cooperation, Commitment to MSF principles.
- Knowledge: Computer literacy (Essential).
Benefits
- 208 working hours per month.
- Salary based on MSF scale.
- 13th-month allowance (equivalent to one month gross salary).
