    Overview

    The WHO Foundation is seeking a Strategic Engagement Program Manager to support global health initiatives. This role involves collaborating across teams to influence strategic health investments and contribute to the Foundation’s mission of mobilizing private capital for global health.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Identify and monitor investment opportunities, evaluating potential partnerships aligned with WHO Foundation priorities.
    • Coordinate and produce strategic materials such as presentations, briefing notes, and reports.
    • Manage investment initiatives from opportunity assessment to donor-facing materials.
    • Act as a liaison between the Strategic Engagement team and other organizational units.
    • Support WHO engagement to ensure alignment of investment initiatives with WHO’s strategic priorities.
    • Design and oversee data collection, quality assurance, and reporting processes for fundraising opportunities.
    • Analyze global health trends, assess impact, and generate insights to inform investment decisions.
    • Develop analytical frameworks and visualizations to communicate potential impact.
    • Support the creation and refinement of the Foundation’s health program portfolios.
    • Conduct literature reviews and synthesize research findings relevant to health investments.
    • Contribute to the development of innovative funding mechanisms.
    • Provide technical and data inputs for proposal development.
    • Assist with all aspects of the grant management cycle.
    • Help coordinate operational activities related to grants.
    • Train and mentor junior staff and interns on WHO programs and data analysis.
    • Lead internal sessions to disseminate insights and best practices.
    • Collaborate with communications teams to produce data-driven impact stories.

    Requirements

    • Master’s degree or equivalent in public health, international development, humanitarian action, or related fields.
    • Strong skills in quantitative data analysis, using statistical software and visualization tools.
    • Ability to produce high-quality, visually compelling presentations and reports, with proficiency in PowerPoint, Canva, or similar tools.
    • Sound understanding of the global health ecosystem, including WHO’s role and health priorities.
    • Fluency in English is mandatory; proficiency in French or other languages is a plus.
    • At least 2 years of experience working in health-related sectors (NGOs, UN agencies, private sector, or consultancy firms).
    • Demonstrated ability to synthesize evidence, develop impact cases, and support strategic decision-making.
    • Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment, with an entrepreneurial spirit and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent relationship-building skills, with sensitivity to diverse cultural backgrounds.
    • Desirable: Experience in specified regions (Latin America, Africa, Middle East, Asia), knowledge of global health funding, experience with specific health programs, M&E skills, multilingual ability.
