    Job Summary

    YLabs seeks a highly motivated Youth Leadership Fellow to support the national expansion of AskingforaFriend.org, a digital platform co-designed with youth to provide accessible resources on sexual health, mental health, identity, and gender-based violence.

    The fellow will work remotely to help scale the platform from California to all 50 states, creating content, building partnerships, and shaping marketing strategies.

    The position demands a passion for youth health and digital engagement, with a commitment of 50-100% time from June to October, with the possibility of extension.

    Key Responsibilities

    Content Development and Support

    • Create decision support tools, health quizzes, and FAQ responses based on youth submissions, with expert review.
    • Develop engaging content tailored to diverse youth needs and experiences.

    Partnership Building

    • Engage with organizations and individuals to foster strategic collaborations that expand platform reach.
    • Support outreach efforts to grow the platform’s visibility and impact.

    Marketing Campaign Support

    • Assist in designing and implementing a national marketing campaign for fall launch.
    • Contribute to social media content, paid ads, and organic outreach efforts to engage young audiences.

    Advocacy and Representation

    • Represent Asking for a Friend at webinars, conferences, and public speaking opportunities.
    • Support long-term positioning of the platform as a trusted resource for youth across the US.

    Candidate Profile

    Essential Skills and Experience

    • Passion for youth agency, health, and digital engagement.
    • Experience in public health, health education, advocacy, or related fields.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills tailored to adolescents.
    • Personal lived experience or community connection to the platform’s target demographic.
    • Ability to build relationships with youth, organizations, and stakeholders.

    Preferred Attributes

    • Non-traditional backgrounds are welcome.
    • Enthusiasm for youth-led innovation and social impact projects.
    • Creative thinker with a proactive attitude toward expanding digital health resources.
