Oxfam International has announced a new recruitment opportunity for an experienced Chief Operating Officer (COO) to help lead the organization’s global operations and transformation agenda.
The senior leadership position is open to candidates from any location where Oxfam has an office and can establish a contract of employment, with preference given to applicants based in the Global South.
The full-time temporary role comes at a critical moment as Oxfam continues strengthening its confederation-wide systems, operational effectiveness, and global impact in the fight against poverty, inequality, climate injustice, and humanitarian crises.
According to the vacancy announcement, the COO will oversee both the strategic and day-to-day operations of the Oxfam International Secretariat while supporting regional and country platforms in alignment with the organization’s broader global strategy.
The successful candidate will work closely with Oxfam affiliates, regional leaders, executive teams, and staff members to help implement the confederation’s transformation goals.
