    The Global Landscapes Forum (GLF) is inviting applications for the position of Youth Program Coordinator, offering a unique opportunity for professionals passionate about youth leadership, climate action, and sustainable development.

    This is a full-time consultancy role with a remote (home-based) work arrangement. The contract will run from October 2026 to October 2027 (12 months), with the possibility of renewal based on performance. Applications close on 7 July 2026.

    The Youth Program Coordinator will lead the GLF Youth Program team in designing, planning, and delivering impactful initiatives for young people aged 18–35. The role focuses on strengthening youth engagement across GLF workstreams, including GLFx, Knowledge, Events, Learning, and Sustainable Finance.

    Key responsibilities include developing multi-year strategies, implementing annual youth program plans, and ensuring alignment with GLF’s overall mission. The coordinator will oversee the Restoration Stewardship Program, a flagship fellowship supporting young professionals in ecosystem restoration projects. The role also involves co-creating learning opportunities, facilitating youth participation in global policy platforms such as COP events, and amplifying youth voices in sustainability discussions.

    In addition, the successful candidate will manage a diverse team, coordinate partnerships with global stakeholders, support resource mobilization efforts, and ensure effective monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of youth-focused initiatives. The coordinator will also work closely with the Youth in Landscapes Network Steering Committee to strengthen collaboration and expand the reach and impact of youth engagement globally.

    Applicants are required to hold a Master’s degree in environmental studies, international development, climate science, or a related field, along with a minimum of three years of relevant professional experience in program coordination, youth engagement, or sustainability-focused initiatives. Strong knowledge of climate change, ecosystem restoration, and global environmental policy frameworks is essential. Experience working with international organizations, youth networks, and multi-stakeholder partnerships is highly desirable.

    The GLF, launched in 2013 by CIFOR-ICRAF in collaboration with partners such as UNEP and the World Bank, is the world’s largest knowledge-led platform on sustainable landscapes. It has engaged over 25,000 organizations, 1.3 million youth, and stakeholders across 185 countries, promoting ecosystem restoration and sustainable development worldwide.
