Adaptation and Resilience Finance Lead @The Nature Conservancy

Overview

The Adaptation and Resilience Finance Lead will oversee all aspects of the Adaptation and Resilience team’s finance and investment strategy, focusing on mobilizing alternative sources of finance to enhance resilience to climate change impacts.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the finance pillar of TNC’s Adaptation strategy.
• Develop and implement scaling strategies for adaptation finance.
• Design and strengthen financial products, including insurance and results-based finance.
• Develop and pilot insurance and risk-transfer mechanisms.
• Expand innovative tools for blended finance instruments.
• Increase private sector engagement through external strategies.
• Source and lead financial transactions including blended and risk mitigation programs.
• Recruit, manage, and develop high-quality staff.

Requirements

• BA/BS degree with at least 10 years’ experience in finance.
• Proven fundraising experience.
• Experience managing large programs, teams, budgets, and deadlines.
• Knowledge of trends in adaptation and resilience finance.
• Experience in developing partnerships with organizations, financial institutions, and governments.
• Multilingual and cross-cultural experience (preferred).
• Strong communication skills in English.
• Experience in influencing policy and conservation strategies (preferred).

Benefits

• Starting salary range: $90,000 – $149,600 (for candidates in the USA).
• Salary outside the USA will be based on local labor markets.
• No relocation assistance provided.

Location

Global (Flexible within countries where The Nature Conservancy has an established office)
