Overview

Global Energy Monitor is seeking two experienced Researchers to join their team and support the Global Energy Ownership Tracker.

Key Responsibilities

Gathering, validating, and maintaining data in shared databases
Creating, formatting, and updating GEM wiki pages on energy projects
Tracking and summarizing environmental and social impacts of energy projects
Collaborating with GEM staff across different projects
Supporting report development, data analysis, and presentations
Utilizing software such as word processors, spreadsheets, and databases
Providing miscellaneous support for other GEM projects

Requirements

Minimum of one year of experience in energy, environmental, or heavy industry decarbonization research
Fluency in English
Knowledge of environmental and social impacts of energy and heavy industry, governmental and business structures, and the global political context
Understanding of energy transition issues and technical background
Strong research, analytical, and data presentation skills
Professional writing and wiki formatting skills
Experience working toward social and environmental justice
Multilingual fluency

Benefits

US-based pay rate: $40.27 per hour
Fully remote work environment
