Overview

Spark Climate Solutions is seeking an experienced Communications Specialist to support their expanding portfolio of programs, focusing on translating complex technical topics into clear and engaging content.

Key Responsibilities

Draft blogs, fact sheets, website copy, social media content, program updates, slide decks, and fundraising materials.
Collaborate with the Strategic Communications Lead to ensure messaging aligns with organizational goals.
Manage newsletters and social media platforms (especially LinkedIn).
Coordinate review, approval, and scheduling of social media posts.
Maintain and update Spark’s internal content library, including key stats, templates, and visual materials.
Support routine website content updates and oversee the upcoming site relaunch.
Assist with preparing programmatic materials such as slide decks and info sheets.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience in communications, marketing, journalism, or related fields; or Master’s degree with 3+ years of experience.
Strong writing skills with demonstrated ability to produce high-quality content.
Experience managing social media (particularly LinkedIn) and email platforms.
Familiarity with basic website content management and graphic design tools (e.g., Canva).
Nice to have: experience in climate communications.

Benefits

Salary: $85,000 – $105,000 annually.
