    Overview

    Affirm is reinventing credit to make it more honest and friendly. The company's Risk & Analytics team plays a crucial role in directing business strategy through analyses that inform product features and marketing campaigns.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Own and prioritize the analytics portfolio for a significant product or business area with a focus on defining success and measuring impact across customer experience, growth, risk, and profitability.
    • Lead complex analyses balancing growth, credit performance, customer experience, and unit economics.
    • Translate analytical findings into compelling narratives and business cases for leadership decision-making.
    • Identify core hypotheses and design actionable experiments for product-market fit and economic viability.
    • Influence cross-functional teams to align on key decisions without formal authority.
    • Build scalable data models, metrics, dashboards, and AI-assisted workflows while ensuring data governance.
    • Mentor analysts and develop reusable analytical practices and tools.

    Requirements

    • A General Manager mindset with product and credit risk judgment and a track record of identifying high-impact opportunities.
    • Strong understanding of the consumer lending and credit industry, including lending economics and performance metrics.
    • Ability to perform complex analyses and provide actionable business recommendations.
    • Exceptional communication and influencing skills across various audiences, including senior leaders.
    • 6+ years of experience in a cross-functional analytical role impacting significant product or business decisions.
    • Advanced skills in SQL and Python, including experience with statistical analysis and A/B testing.
    • Demonstrated curiosity and experience with AI-powered tools to enhance analysis and workflows.
    • Bachelor's degree in a quantitatively rigorous field or equivalent practical experience; an advanced degree is a plus.
