Overview
The Ban Ki-moon Foundation has opened applications for a Project & Development Associate position ideal for early-career professionals looking to build experience at the intersection of global policy, sustainable development, and international partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in fundraising strategy development
- Write proposals for donors, including governments and foundations
- Conduct research to identify funding opportunities
- Manage databases of partners and prospects
- Coordinate grant proposal submissions
- Coordinate foundation projects such as scholarships and mentorships
- Organize events (virtual and in-person)
- Monitor project deliverables and impact
- Support communication efforts through content creation
- Assist senior leadership with meeting coordination and logistics
- Prepare briefings and background research
- Support stakeholder engagement and partnership development
Requirements
- 1–2 years of experience in proposal writing and project management
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Interest in gender equality, education, climate, and sustainable development
- Ability to work in a dynamic, international environment
- Experience in NGO or international organization settings (preferred)
- Knowledge of German or French (preferred)
- Strong organizational and event coordination skills (preferred)
- Familiarity with tools such as MS Office, Zoom, and Canva (preferred)
