Overview

Malaria Consortium is seeking a remote Translator (English to Hausa Language) to translate communication materials for the SARMAAN II project, aimed at evaluating the impact of azithromycin administration in Nigerian children.

Key Responsibilities

Translate content from English to Hausa for four selected poster pages.
Ensure translations maintain original meaning and intent.
Use clear and simple Hausa language suitable for community comprehension.
Retain key public health terminology appropriately.
Review and refine translations based on feedback from the programme team if required.

Requirements

Diploma in Communication or English.
Proven experience translating English to Hausa, preferably with an international organization.
Strong understanding of health communication terminology.
Ability to translate technical content into clear, audience-appropriate language.
Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality output.
Ability to deliver within tight timelines.
1 to 2 years of experience in translation.
