Associate Solutions Architect (French or German fluency) @GitLab

Overview

GitLab is seeking an Associate Solutions Architect for their SMB EMEA Sales team. In this role, you will act as a trusted advisor to prospects and customers, leveraging GitLab's DevSecOps platform to meet technical requirements and business objectives. You'll guide organizations through their digital transformation journey, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive adoption and revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Support and enable successful adoption of the GitLab platform for SMB EMEA customers through solution selling and architecture experience.
• Complete the Solutions Architect Onboarding plan within the first 30 days.
• Collaborate to gain comprehensive knowledge of GitLab and DevOps practices within two months.
• Engage with customers in a consultancy role during the pre-sales process within three months.
• Formulate and execute sales strategies in partnership with the sales team.
• Guide technical evaluations via POC/POV ownership and workshop design.
• Build trusted relationships within customer environments.
• Serve as the customer's advocate to other GitLab teams.
• Continuously develop professional skills and maintain competency in GitLab-related technologies.

Requirements

• 1-2+ years of experience in pre-sales, consulting, or similar roles.
• Understanding of the software development lifecycle and modern DevSecOps practices.
• Knowledge of cloud computing concepts and deployment security.
• Ability to lead technical evaluations and design workshops.
• Strong technical communication skills adapted for various audiences.
• Skill in building relationships and acting as a customer advocate.
• Motivated to continuously develop professionally.
• Fluency in German or French is desirable.
