Key Responsibilities

• Set the technical direction for major application networking initiatives and own designs from proposal to general availability.
• Lead the development of Ingress, private connectivity, DNS, and security controls for Elastic Cloud while addressing performance, reliability, and operability issues.
• Manage multi-quarter, cross-organizational projects and guide them through to delivery.
• Enhance operational quality, lead incident investigations, and participate in on-call rotations.
• Mentor engineers, serve as a subject matter expert, and advise stakeholders on technical trade-offs and roadmap direction.
• Advocate for improvements to security, stability, and cost efficiency within the platform.

Requirements

• Experience in building software and guiding technical direction for distributed systems.
• Deep expertise in application networking and cloud-native architecture.
• Proficient in owning projects through both technical design and collaboration.
• Background in operating high-availability SaaS platforms and improving reliability.
• Proven record of utilizing AI for development, debugging, and optimization.
• Strong collaboration skills with the ability to drive decisions in a distributed team.
