B2B Senior DevOps Engineer @Jamf

Overview

The Senior DevOps Engineer at Jamf is responsible for automating and developing backend infrastructure that powers the Jamf Cloud, enabling customers to manage Apple devices effectively. This remote role is available for applicants based in Poland only.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, deploy, and maintain production environments using automation and tools such as infrastructure as code, configuration as code, serverless, and containerization.
• Integrate security best practices into system designs and configurations.
• Assist in evaluating and implementing new software services.
• Develop custom tools and automation using programming and scripting.
• Support software development by maintaining and scaling the CI/CD environment.
• Manage sensitive data through backups, permissions, and auditing.
• Participate in on-call rotations, triaging alerts and assisting in disaster recovery.
• Engage in Agile workflows and provide code reviews and planning input.
• Create and maintain technical documentation.
• Set technical direction for team responsibilities and mentor other staff members.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years experience with continuous integration tools (e.g., Jenkins, Bamboo).
• Experience in configuration management and deployment tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef).
• Strong systems administration skills focused on performance analysis.
• Proven experience as a power user of operating systems (e.g., MacOS, Linux).
• Proficient in a programming language (e.g., Java, Python).
• Experience with source control management tools (e.g., Git).
• Knowledge of issue tracking software (e.g., JIRA).
• Preferred experience with enterprise software development life cycle, infrastructure as code, cloud-native services, monitoring tools, Kubernetes, and structured databases.
• Bachelor's Degree is preferred but not mandatory.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified) are preferred.
