Business Development Representative (Oakland) @Fivetran

Overview

Fivetran is hiring a Business Development Representative to help accelerate pipeline generation across Commercial and Enterprise business segments. This is a full-time position based primarily out of Oakland, California, with a hybrid work model offering remote flexibility.

Key Responsibilities

• Generate qualified pipeline through outbound prospecting across target accounts.
• Research accounts, industries, and personas to craft personalized outreach.
• Partner closely with Sales Directors to build account strategies and prioritize opportunities.
• Execute multi-channel outbound campaigns using phone, email, LinkedIn, and video.
• Conduct discovery conversations to uncover business challenges and technical pain points.
• Engage various personas including data, analytics, engineering, IT, RevOps, and executives.
• Maintain accurate activity, contact, and opportunity data within Salesforce.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Partnerships, and Sales leadership.
• Leverage AI tools and sales technologies to improve prospecting efficiency.
• Consistently achieve and exceed activity, meeting generation, and pipeline targets.

Requirements

• 9+ months of experience in SaaS, cloud, infrastructure, or technology sales development.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to engage technical and business stakeholders.
• Ability to learn and articulate technical concepts related to data analytics, cloud, and AI infrastructure.
• Experience with outbound prospecting and multi-threaded account engagement.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple accounts and priorities.
• Comfortable using AI tools and sales engagement platforms.
• Fluent in English; bonus for being bilingual.
