Overview
The Client Development Representative (CDR) role at Brex involves owning customer engagement and expansion within an assigned portfolio of existing customers through high-velocity outreach and consultative discovery.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive daily customer outreach across email, phone, and social channels to generate a qualified pipeline for expansion.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for an assigned portfolio, helping existing customers get more value from Brex.
- Identify and advance expansion opportunities by connecting Brex solutions to measurable business outcomes.
- Lead structured discovery calls; develop commercial proposals and negotiate rewards, pricing, and other deal terms.
- Develop a strong understanding of customer workflows, accounting processes, and financial priorities to uncover pain points.
- Build relationships with finance stakeholders, from Controllers to CFOs.
- Partner with internal teams to balance customer needs with commercial impact.
- Maintain rigorous forecasting and proactive stakeholder communication.
- Advocate for customers internally by sharing feedback and insights that improve the product and experience.
Requirements
- 2+ years of customer-facing experience in sales, hospitality, customer service, or a related field.
- Experience in a general sales role or demonstrated interest in building a sales career.
- Strong urgency and adaptability in customer conversations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence partners.
- Coachability, resilience, and a growth mindset.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field.
Benefits
This role offers a hybrid work environment, requiring a minimum of three days in the office per week, with the possibility of fully remote work up to four weeks per year. The expected OTE range for this role is $82,535 - $98,001 USD, which includes base compensation and commissions, plus potential equity and other compensation forms.
