Key Responsibilities

• Contributing to impactful projects that evolve core infrastructure underpinning Elasticsearch.
• Identifying opportunities for automation to enhance developer productivity.
• Designing and implementing new horizontally-scalable features and APIs.
• Troubleshooting performance or concurrency issues with viable solutions.
• Enhancing operation and observability of Elasticsearch cloud systems.
• Collaborating with the Elastic team, users, and open-source projects.
• Providing support for complex issues to support engineers.
• Managing operational investigations to resolve stability or performance issues.

Requirements

• Experience in crafting APIs and analyzing trade-offs.
• Proficiency in algorithms, data structures, and core Java.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD systems and leading projects across teams.
• Ability to manage projects from initial design through to completion.
• Proven track record in utilizing AI for efficient development and debugging.
• Strong collaboration skills across functions and teams.
• Ability to work autonomously within a distributed team.
