Software Engineer II, Backend (Collections) @Affirm

Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Break down larger projects into tasks and collaborate to ensure timely delivery.
• Support peers and stakeholders in product development by collaborating with product management, design, and analytics.
• Create and monitor metrics for the team’s artifacts, supporting operational availability.
• Participate in an on-call rotation as a requirement for the role.
• Engage in growth and development activities, including participating in the interview process.

Requirements

• 2.5+ years of experience as a software engineer.
• Proficient in Python or Kotlin and experienced in designing, developing, and launching backend systems.
• Familiarity with distributed systems and technologies like AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
• Ability to translate simple problems into solutions interacting with multiple software components.
• Comfortable navigating large codebases, debugging, and providing feedback through code reviews.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to support effective collaboration with a global team.
