Deployment Strategist @Databricks

Overview

The Deployment Strategist (DS) at Databricks serves as a vital link between the customer’s business challenges and Databricks' technical solutions. This role is akin to a product manager, overseeing the non-technical lifecycle of an FDE engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with Sales to define business value and manage the scoping of pilot projects.
• Author product requirement documents (PRDs) and prioritize engineering backlogs.
• Drive agile project execution, managing stakeholder communications and resolving issues.
• Oversee solution launch and drive user adoption through feedback and iteration.
• Scope ongoing maintenance plans and create customer documentation/training.

Requirements

• Proven executive presence with excellent communication skills.
• Experience in product and strategy mindset, including the ability to perform SWOT analysis.
• Strong execution capabilities and a hands-on mentality.
• Minimum 2 years as a Deployment Strategist or in a similar role at a high-growth startup, or 5+ years in senior client-facing product roles.
• Experience in value-based scoping, agile project management, and writing PRDs.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%.
