    Overview

    Blockchain is a leading global crypto company, providing safe access to cryptocurrency for millions of users worldwide since its establishment in 2011. The company is seeking a highly experienced Deputy BSA & Sanctions Officer to support the compliance program.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Support the BSA Officer in developing and enhancing a comprehensive BSA/AML and Sanctions compliance program.
    • Oversee transaction monitoring, investigations, data validation, reporting, and recordkeeping functions.
    • Lead the annual BSA/AML and OFAC risk assessment process.
    • Maintain BSA/AML and Sanctions policies and procedures.
    • Evaluate internal controls across the compliance program.
    • Oversee enhanced due diligence processes for high-risk customers.
    • Ensure timely filing of Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) and related obligations.
    • Provide guidance on complex investigations and case decisions.
    • Develop key risk indicators (KRIs) and management reporting for senior leadership.
    • Partner with cross-functional teams to embed compliance requirements in business processes.
    • Lead regulatory examinations, audits, and inquiries.
    • Manage global policy and procedure governance framework.
    • Oversee state licensing compliance efforts.
    • Support banking partner due diligence requests.
    • Review new products and initiatives for compliance controls.
    • Lead strategic initiatives related to financial crimes compliance.

    Requirements

    • 6+ years of experience in BSA/AML and Sanctions compliance.
    • Strong knowledge of U.S. BSA/AML regulations and OFAC requirements.
    • Demonstrated ability to operate independently and manage complex initiatives.
    • Experience with investigations, SAR filings, and regulatory reporting.
    • Strong understanding of risk assessments, control design, and governance.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong communication skills for presenting to management and regulators.
    • Highly organized with strong project management capabilities.
