Successful candidates will be based at selected TVET College campuses across South Africa and will play a key role in promoting digital literacy and delivering community-based digital skills training.
Digital Ambassadors will receive training on basic digital literacy modules and will be responsible for equipping community members with essential digital skills.

Main Purpose of the Job
The Digital Ambassador will participate in digital literacy training and subsequently provide basic digital literacy training to community members.
The role involves community mobilisation, facilitation of training sessions and supporting digital inclusion initiatives within assigned communities.
Key Responsibilities
Digital Literacy Training
- Learn and apply basic digital literacy skills through provided training modules.
- Participate actively in all training sessions.
- Facilitate and conduct digital literacy training for community members.
- Provide training on identified basic digital literacy modules.
Community Engagement
- Mobilise and encourage community members to participate in digital literacy programmes.
- Liaise with municipalities, organisations and the Project Manager to secure training venues.
- Build relationships with community stakeholders.
Planning and Reporting
- Develop and maintain weekly training plans.
- Ensure weekly training targets are achieved.
- Prepare reports and maintain records of training activities.
Minimum Requirements
Educational Qualifications
Applicants must possess:
- Matric/Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
- Computer literacy
- National Certificate (Vocational) – NC(V), NATED qualification or Occupational Certificate
Preferred Qualifications
Preference will be given to candidates with:
- Post-matric qualification
- Computer certificate
- TVET NC(V) Level 4, N6 or ICT-related occupational certificate
- Digital certification and facilitation/training experience
- Diploma or Degree in ICT, Education or a related field
Work Experience Requirements
Minimum Experience
- At least one to two years of working experience in any field
Preferred Experience
- Experience in training, facilitation, tutoring or community development
- Practical knowledge of digital tools including internet, email, Microsoft Office and online platforms
- Ability to work independently and manage community-based learning activities
- Ability to communicate in English and at least one other locally spoken language

Reporting Line
The Digital Ambassador will report directly to the Project Manager: Ya Rona Digital Programme.
Monthly Stipend
Successful candidates will receive a monthly stipend of R4,500.00.
