    State Information Technology Agency (SITA) is inviting applications for three End User Computing Technician positions within its National Consulting & Regional Division.

    The successful candidates will provide both remote and on-site LAN and desktop technical support, ensuring that client IT infrastructure operates efficiently while meeting service delivery standards and organizational expectations.

    Key Responsibilities

    Successful candidates will be responsible for:

    • Providing 1st and 2nd level LAN and desktop technical support
    • Installing and configuring new IT hardware and equipment
    • Managing remote software deployment implementation and maintenance

    • Supporting enterprise local IT systems and software resources
    • Providing LAN and desktop advisory support to organizational clients
    • Maintaining network infrastructure including desktops, servers, switches, LAN cabling and peripherals

    • Resolving hardware and software incidents according to service level agreements (SLAs)
    • Ensuring availability and continuous support of End User Computing services

    Minimum Requirements

    Applicants must possess:

    • Grade 12 certificate
    • National Higher Certificate in IT (NQF Level 5)
    • A+ and N+ certification (either part of qualification or separate certification)

    Required Experience

    Candidates should have either:

    • At least one year corporate experience in End User Support or Service Management

    OR

    • 1–2 years relevant experience supporting End User Computing Services and LAN Infrastructure environments

    Relevant experience should include:

    • Desktop support and troubleshooting
    • LAN infrastructure maintenance
    • Hardware and software support
    • Server and switch maintenance
    • Incident management and service support processes

    Technical Competencies

    Applicants should demonstrate knowledge of:

    • Desktop operating systems and business applications
    • Network cabling systems
    • Telephony systems
    • Security software and hardware
    • LAN infrastructure principles and topology
    • Internet protocols and services
    • Routing and switching technologies
    • ITIL framework
    • IT procedures, policies and standards

    Salary and Benefits
