Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc, a leading agro-allied company established in 1960 and listed on the Nigerian Exchange, is currently recruiting qualified candidates to fill multiple engineering roles at its Golden Sugar Company in Sunti, Niger State.

Available Positions

• Technician (Instrument)
• Technician (Electrician)
• Shift Engineer – Electrical

1. Technician (Instrument)

Purpose:
To monitor, inspect, and maintain instrumentation and electronic equipment while adhering to HSE and food safety policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and repair instrumentation equipment
• Troubleshoot process instruments, PLCs, DCS, and UPS systems
• Ensure accurate documentation and logbook records
• Maintain safety standards and proper housekeeping
• Ensure compliance with ISO standards

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 O’Level credits including Mathematics and English
• NABTEB or City & Guilds certification in Electrical or related discipline
• Minimum of 2 years relevant industrial experience
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

2. Technician (Electrician)

Purpose:
To install, maintain, and repair electrical systems within the factory, estate, and irrigation facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install and maintain electrical systems and equipment
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance
• Troubleshoot electrical faults and breakdowns
• Maintain proper documentation of maintenance activities
• Support safety compliance and energy efficiency initiatives

Requirements:

• 5 O’Level credits including Mathematics and English
• NABTEB or City & Guilds certification
• At least 2 years of relevant experience
• Strong troubleshooting and technical skills

3. Shift Engineer – Electrical

Purpose:
To manage electrical maintenance operations and ensure optimal plant performance and safety compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise maintenance activities and allocate manpower
• Oversee electrical systems across plant operations
• Ensure compliance with HSE and LOTO procedures
• Monitor energy usage and improve efficiency
• Support installation and commissioning of equipment

Requirements:

• B.Eng. or HND in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
• COREN/NSE membership is an advantage
• Minimum of 5 years’ industrial experience
• Strong leadership and technical expertise
