Overview
The role involves leading the compensation strategy at Instacart, focusing on pay competitiveness and fairness. This senior leadership position reports to the Head of Total Rewards and plays a critical role in attracting, retaining, and motivating talent.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the design and delivery of annual and mid-year compensation cycles.
- Collaborate with HR Business Partners, Finance, Legal, and senior leaders to provide actionable recommendations on compensation matters.
- Oversee the equity compensation strategy and communicate it effectively across the organization.
- Lead a team of compensation business partners, setting clear direction and high standards.
- Contribute individually as a compensation business partner to align with business needs.
- Manage compensation frameworks for international expansion and ensure compliance.
Requirements
- 10+ years of progressive compensation experience, including 3 years in people management.
- Track record of supporting large R&D or Engineering teams, advising senior leaders on complex compensation decisions.
- Expertise in equity compensation design and strategy from a tech-focused company.
- Experience in building scalable compensation programs, including job architecture and pay-for-performance frameworks.
- Strong analytical skills to transform data into clear executive recommendations.
- Interest in leveraging AI and technology to improve compensation processes.
