Director, GTM Strategy & Planning @Fivetran

Overview

Fivetran is seeking a Director of GTM Strategy & Planning to lead the team responsible for the company’s strategic go-to-market decisions. This role will play a crucial part in aligning the sales strategies of Fivetran and dbt Labs as the organizations integrate their operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and grow a team of GTM strategy and planning professionals.
• Drive the GTM planning cycle in collaboration with key stakeholders including the CRO and CMO.
• Manage the annual headcount planning process for the revenue organization.
• Design and execute the global quota-setting and territory planning process.
• Drive strategic decisions across revenue organization including market segmentation and coverage model design.
• Oversee the pipeline model and targets across all GTM teams.
• Partner with teams to optimize sales plays and persona targeting.
• Evaluate market entry opportunities and develop geography-specific GTM strategies.
• Lead the preparation of GTM performance materials for executive forums.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in sales strategy or management consulting in a B2B SaaS environment.
• 4+ years of experience managing and developing a team.
• Experience with quota design, territory planning, and headcount modeling.
• Strong analytical skills and financial acumen.
• Deep knowledge of B2B SaaS go-to-market models.
• Proven ability to operate at the executive level.
• Experience with market sizing and entry prioritization frameworks.
• Clear communication skills to present complex information effectively.

Location

This is a full-time, hybrid position based in Oakland, Denver, Austin, or New York. The role includes a blend of remote work and in-office collaboration.
