Overview
The Director, Information Technology & Security at Affirm will be a key member of the Bank's Management Team, serving as the Chief Information Security Officer. This role involves establishing and leading the Bank's information security and cybersecurity programs during its launch as a de novo Industrial Loan Company (ILC).
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee infrastructure design and IT Engineering.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive Information Security Program consistent with FDIC guidance.
- Provide regular reports on security posture to executive management and the Board.
- Lead the Bank’s Incident Response Program and establish threat monitoring and detection capabilities.
- Ensure compliance with privacy and data protection requirements.
- Assist in the development and testing of Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plans.
- Build the Bank’s technology and information security program as part of the de novo application process.
- Promote a culture of cybersecurity awareness and accountability across the organization.
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in information technology, security, and technology risk management.
- Experience designing and implementing information security programs compliant with FDIC and FFIEC standards.
- Strong familiarity with third-party risk frameworks and cybersecurity expectations in financial services.
- Ability to communicate complex technical topics to executive leadership and regulators.
- Deep expertise in cloud-native infrastructure (AWS/GCP) and DevOps practices.
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
