Overview

Instacart is building a best-in-class Internal Audit function, seeking a Director of IT, Internal Audit. This role involves delivering risk-based IT audit engagements and enhancing the function's technology capability, reporting directly to the Head of Internal Audit.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver end-to-end IT audit and advisory engagements with executive-quality standards.
• Apply independent audit judgment across engagements and translate findings into actionable narratives.
• Develop a high-performing audit team through coaching and tailored development plans.
• Integrate AI risk and governance considerations into the audit approach.
• Implement the Workiva platform to enhance the audit operating model.
• Build productive relationships with business leaders and serve as a trusted advisor across technology and data teams.

Requirements

• 12-15 years of professional experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role overseeing IT risk-based audits.
• Experience building a risk-based Internal Audit function with knowledge of IIA Standards.
• Exceptional written communication skills with the ability to produce executive-quality audit reports.
• Collaborative approach with the ability to influence across the organization.
• Technical expertise that translates into actionable insights.
