Director, Strategic Finance - Consolidation @Instacart

Overview

The Director, Strategic Finance - Consolidation at Instacart is responsible for overseeing the consolidated financial view and integrating inputs from various teams into a coherent, reconciled, and forward-looking perspective of the company's performance. This role is integral to Instacart’s financial governance and reporting to the Vice President of Investor Relations and Strategic Finance.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the consolidated financial view, ensuring a trusted reconciled consolidated P&L forecast, and managing the monthly and quarterly close cycle.
• Serve as the financial narrator for Instacart's story by preparing accurate board decks, investor materials, and business review packages.
• Build scalable infrastructure for forecasting processes that align with Accounting's close process and enable effective capital allocation decisions.
• Grow the finance team to maintain high performance standards and develop strong partnerships across departments.

Requirements

• 12+ years of relevant experience with a strong financial acumen and data-driven impact.
• Experience in FP&A, Corporate Finance, or Strategic Finance at a technology company, focusing on consolidated reporting and forecasting.
• Deep understanding of GAAP financial statements and proficiency in advanced Excel/Sheets for complex financial modeling.
• Exceptional communication skills to articulate financial narratives to senior leadership.
• Strong people management experience with a history of developing high-performing finance teams.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
