Overview

This remote role as Director, Strategic Finance - Consolidation at Instacart involves owning the responsibility for providing an integrated view of Instacart’s financial performance, collaborating with various internal teams to support disciplined growth and long-term value creation.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the consolidated financial view with a trusted P&L forecast that integrates inputs from multiple departments.
• Ensure the monthly and quarterly close cycle runs smoothly with high-quality standards and variance analysis.
• Oversee the creation of a long-range financial model that incorporates current strategy and updates based on scenario analysis.
• Manage the annual budgeting process with clearly set company-level targets and secured cross-functional alignment.
• Deliver board decks, investor materials, and quarterly business review packages consistently, ensuring accuracy and minimal revisions.
• Synthesize cross-team narratives into a coherent view to assist leadership in decision-making.
• Build scalable forecasting processes aligned with accounting standards and ensure timely capital allocation decisions.
• Develop and elevate the performance of a high-performing finance team.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience demonstrating financial acumen and data-driven decision-making.
• Proven background in FP&A, Corporate Finance, or Strategic Finance in a high-growth or public technology company.
• In-depth understanding of GAAP financial statements and proficiency in both GAAP and non-GAAP frameworks.
• Advanced skills in Excel/Sheets and ability to maintain complex financial models.
• Strong communication skills to distill complex data into actionable insights for stakeholders.
• Experience in managing high-performing finance teams and developing process discipline.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• MBA preferred with familiarity in financial planning systems.
