Elastic Consultant - Public Sector @Elastic

Overview

The role of Elastic Consultant in the Public Sector focuses on delivering services and leading stakeholder relationships at high levels of government. The position involves collaborating with various teams to align Elastic’s offerings with the strategic objectives of governmental organizations.

Key Responsibilities

• Build strong customer relationships and advocate for client needs.
• Transition between delivery and strategic engagements with customers.
• Support customers' goals and strategic requirements through collaboration with the wider Elastic organization.
• Manage the strategic roadmap for customers, including quarterly sessions with key stakeholders.
• Design solutions, develop integrations of Elastic products, and plan platform architecture in critical environments.
• Work remotely as part of a distributed team.
• Develop demos and proof-of-concepts for the Elastic Stack.
• Address challenging data problems faced by customers.
• Collaborate with Elastic's engineering, product management, and support teams to identify feature enhancements.
• Engage with the sales team to scope opportunities and assess technical risks.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with Elasticsearch and/or Lucene.
• Minimum of 2 years experience as a Software Engineer, System Administrator, or DevOps Engineer.
• At least 5 years of consulting experience in professional services engagements.
• Current German security clearance or previous security clearance.
• Fluency in German.
• Experience as a technical instructor or public speaker.
• Proficient in at least one programming language and passionate about open-source technology.
• Experience with large distributed systems in terms of architecture and development.
• Understanding of Linux, Java, and databases.
