    Overview

    The role of Elastic Consulting Architect in the Public Sector involves building stakeholder relationships at high levels of Government, aligning Elastic with their strategic objectives, and working with a distributed team to deliver solutions for customers.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Strong customer advocacy, relationship building, and communication skills.
    • Pivots from delivery to strategic engagements with customers.
    • Supports customer goals and requirements while working with the wider Elastic organization.
    • Ownership of the strategic roadmap with customers, including quarterly strategic sessions.
    • Solution design, development, and integration of Elastic products and APIs.
    • Development of demos and proof-of-concepts showcasing Elastic Stack value.
    • Data modeling, query development, optimization, and cluster tuning for fast search and analytics.
    • Works closely with engineering, product management, and support teams for feature enhancement identification.
    • Engages with the sales team to scope opportunities and assess technical risks.

    Requirements

    • Hands-on experience and understanding of Elasticsearch and/or Lucene.
    • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Software Engineer, System Administrator, or DevOps Engineer.
    • Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Consultant in professional services engagements.
    • Current UK security clearance or willingness to undergo security clearance.
    • Experience as a technical instructor or public speaker.
    • Proficient in at least one programming language; understanding of open-source technology.
    • Experience with large distributed systems from an architecture and development perspective.
    • Understanding of Linux, Java, and databases.
