The role of Enterprise Solutions Architect at ClickHouse focuses on the technical aspects of the sales cycle for enterprise accounts in the Greater China region. It involves working with a diverse group of stakeholders to design scalable data solutions and handle production challenges.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the technical evaluation for enterprise accounts, from discovery through to first production workload.
• Engage with various stakeholders including data platform engineers, architects, security, and executives to design solutions that meet all requirements.
• Design production-scale solutions including sizing, sharding, replication strategy, and failure management.
• Win competitive displacements against major systems using reproducible benchmarks.
• Manage migration plans and ensure smooth transitions to production.
• Navigate security and procurement requirements, including compliance and data residency.
• Work closely with Enterprise Account Executives to convert technical wins into commercial successes.
• Advocate for customer needs within the company and contribute to resources that help scale solutions.

Requirements

• Fluency in Mandarin and English, both written and verbal.
• Deep technical background in data infrastructure, with experience as a data engineer, platform engineer, or similar roles.
• Production experience with analytical databases such as ClickHouse, Snowflake, or BigQuery.
• Understanding of distributed systems, including partitioning, replication, and query execution.
• Familiarity with the modern data stack including Kafka, orchestration, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP).
• Experience in customer-facing roles such as pre-sales or technical account management.
• Strong communication skills, capable of engaging with technical and executive stakeholders.
• Ability to work through longer sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders.
